How does the movie recommendation work?

Every answer moves a taste profile built from the genres, decades, languages and ratings of the films you judge. A like moves it up, a pass moves it down, a watchlist counts as a softer yes. New cards are ranked against that profile, with a few unrelated picks mixed in so it never narrows to one genre.

What is the difference between a like and the watchlist?

A like says you love the film; the watchlist says you mean to watch it. Both are positive, but they are kept in separate lists, and a watchlist moves your taste less than an outright like.

What does "Not seen it" do?

It swaps the question. Instead of asking whether you like a film you have never seen, the card asks whether you would watch it. "I would" puts it on your watchlist; "Not for me" is recorded as a soft no, not a dislike.

Film data, posters, ratings and descriptions come from TMDB, one of the largest open film databases. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Turkish, Romanian, Greek and Azerbaijani. Film titles and synopses arrive in the language you are reading.
